Broadcast Systems Administrator - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA (Full-time)

The Company

Playgon Interactive Inc. is a producer of video-streamed Live Casino solutions, delivering premium, live dealer table gaming to gaming brands worldwide and is establishing its first North American broadcast studio in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The live dealer gaming content will be streamed as to licensees’ players preferred digital devices to play live casino games online at real tables and with real dealers.

Playgon Interactive Inc. will contract affable and captivating personalities as game presenters combined with other entertainment and special events to produce the most unique product in the online Live Casino space.

Our state of the art live broadcast studio, located in the heart of Las Vegas, is equipped with authentic casino tables and gaming equipment, policies and procedures are similar to a traditional casino with some modification to suit the virtual environment.

Role Summary

This is a proactive and sensitive role in an established organization with certain tech start-up characteristics. In addition to being responsible for the uninterrupted day-to-day broadcast, the successful candidate will act as a liaison between technical and non-technical people within the studio. The successful candidate will be expected to have a solid business acumen to efficiently manage the IT budget and an impeccable eye for detail to ensure the most exemplary customer service in each broadcast.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setup, maintain and critical hardware and network infrastructure/systems as required in an environment consisting of a mix of desktop, server, and other hardware including Windows and Linux based systems.
  • Perform routine server monitoring and maintenance to meet needs including security requirements.
  • Create accounts and configure hardware as part of on-boarding process
  • Maintain data backups system(s) and ensure reliability.
  • Provide support for web conferencing from the studio.
  • Support audio, video, gaming, and lighting equipment in the studio.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve various hardware, software, and connectivity issues reported.
  • Assist in the development of training manuals and documentation, conduct technology training for new users.
  • Manage and monitor internal technology assets to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure proper enforcement of policies documented in the company Information Security Policy.
  • Maintain and expand knowledge base in area(s) of expertise.
  • Responsible for making educated operational, personnel and software improvement recommendations that ensure operational excellence.
  • Other duties may be added and/or assigned as needed.

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or IT related field.
    • A mix of experience and education will be considered.
  • Advanced Linux systems administration skills.
  • Microsoft MCSE, MCITP Systems Administrator (Active Directory)
  • Cisco CCNA certification*
  • 5+ years of experience in system administration.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills of very complex, multi-user, and high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to explain complex IT concepts in simple terms.
  • Understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, Email, HTTP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP protocols and applications.
  • Experience with Data Cabling / Computer Facilities maintenance.
  • Experience with backups and disaster planning and implementation.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive business relationships and work in a collaborative environment with all levels of employees.
  • A sense of urgency and accountability for quality, security, and confidentiality.
  • Energetic, highly self-motivated and proven ability to work successfully with limited supervision
  • Occasional travel to satellite offices may be required.
  • This is a 24/7 operation and all personnel, including management, are expected to adjust work hours to the needs of the business. A willingness to work flexible shifts and scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.
